About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in the South West region. As a key member of our Quality Assurance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in pharmacy services across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert quality assurance advice and support to NHS organisations in the South West region, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Conduct independent audits of licensed and unlicensed GxP activities, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver education and training programs to enhance the quality and safety of pharmacy services in the region.
- Collaborate with the South West Regional Pharmacy Procurement team to ensure that quality assurance aspects are integrated into tender specifications and product evaluation.
- Work closely with Pharmacy Workforce Development South to coordinate and deliver specialist training in GxP activities.
- Coordinate and promote common ways of working across the region, sharing best practices and developing guidance on professional standards, regulations, and common audit deficiencies.

Requirements
- Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council or equivalent.
- Post-graduate diploma or equivalent specialist qualification in pharmaceutical sciences or equivalent extensive experience and specialist knowledge in quality assurance.
- Experience of providing quality assurance and quality management services to licensed and unlicensed units, with a strong understanding of GMP, GDP, and MHRA standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and influence others to achieve quality and safety improvements.
