- Technical Direction: Contribute to technical direction and best practices, identifying areas of improvement across the project and studio.
- Documentation: Review and sign off all technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Project Management: Manage the scoping, planning, and delivery of work assigned to the Tools team, ensuring timely and effective completion.
- Collaboration: Work closely with content teams to ensure they have the necessary tools, actively identifying areas for improvement.
- Risk Management: Be aware of risks impacting the team and project, proactively mitigating them to ensure smooth progress.
- Quality Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the quality of work, driving excellence in everything we do.
- Team Spirit: Contribute to and encourage a collaborative and creative team environment.
- Experience: Proven experience working as a Tools Engineer on one or more AAA titles.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of common DCC tools, such as 3DS Max, Maya, Substance Suite, and Houdini.
- Passion for Tools Development: A genuine passion for tools development and improving the working environment of others.
- Mentoring: Experience mentoring other Engineers, promoting growth and development.
- Code Architecture: A solid understanding of code architecture best practices.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Independence: Ability to work effectively and independently with minimal guidance and support.
- Gaming Industry: Passion for gaming and game development.
- Unreal Engine Experience: Experience in Unreal Engine 4 or 5 on a AAA title.
- Line Management: Experience in line management of an Engineering team.
- Remote Team Support: Experience supporting remote teams.
- Project Planning: Experience in planning and delivering large bodies of work throughout the full project lifecycle.
