About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Piping Engineer to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our Pressure Equipment Design team, you will be responsible for leading projects to deliver piping solutions for the construction of new nuclear stations and systems at fusion research facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production of clear and concise technical reports and drawings.
  • Develop capability through mentoring and coaching.
  • Review and verification of technical documentation produced by others.
  • Production of Safety Case documentation.
  • Technical Leadership of piping teams on large projects or multi-discipline teams on simple projects.
  • Delivery of technical solutions to complex problems.
  • Regular communication with clients and stakeholders, building and nurturing strong relationships with them.
  • Production of bids and proposals.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Senior technical practitioner able to demonstrate good engineering judgement and with extensive experience in using fundamental engineering skills while leading and developing others.
  • Extensive experience in piping and pressure vessel design and stress analysis.
  • Experience with working in a safety critical and heavily regulated environment such as nuclear power generation/decommissioning industries.
