Insurance Claims Investigator

About the Job
We are looking for an experienced Application Fraud Investigator to join our team at Zego. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and preventing fraudulent activities within our business processes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance fraud prevention, with experience in analyzing data and identifying potential risks. A sound knowledge of liability scenarios and commercial awareness will also be essential.
We offer a competitive salary range of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. Our hybrid work approach allows employees to balance flexible home working with regular office days. We cover the costs of company-wide events and provide a separate contribution towards travel expenses.
Job Requirements:
- Fraud Analysis: Review policy referrals from internal and external sources, identifying potential fraud cases based on established indicators and risk factors.
- Investigative Action: Conduct investigations by cancelling fraudulent policies where applicable, maintaining our fraud database, and performing data entry tasks related to ongoing cases.
- Data Management: Collect and analyze fraud data, track investigation outcomes, and document cost savings associated with fraud prevention efforts.
- Tools & Techniques: Leverage digital tools, databases, and internet resources to profile potential fraud and guide investigations toward the correct outcome.
- Fraud Trends: Proactively report new fraud patterns and Modus Operandi to our intelligence analysts to stay ahead of emerging threats.
- Compliance & Protocols: Ensure full compliance with internal protocols, Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB) standards, and all system requirements.
- System Testing: Participate in system search trials, providing feedback to Fraud Management on the effectiveness of anti-fraud measures.
- Regulatory Adherence: Maintain strict adherence to regulatory standards, including those related to the fair treatment of customers.
