About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Test Technician to join our team at Leonardo in Basildon. As a key member of our Integrated Sensing and Protection line of business, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our complex electro-mechanical devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough testing and inspection of electro-mechanical assemblies to identify defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Develop and implement test procedures and protocols to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and quality assurance, to resolve technical issues and improve product quality.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of test results and quality control processes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes and product quality.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of electronics and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Experience with testing and inspection of complex devices.
  • Knowledge of quality control processes and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of optics or optical assemblies.
  • Experience with communications or RF assemblies.
  • Experience with digital electronics or printed circuit boards (PCBs).
  • Good level of computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office programs.
