Technical Product Manager

Oxford Nanopore Technologies is a leading innovator in the field of nanopore-based DNA/RNA sequencing. We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Product Manager to join our team and drive the success of our analysis software, EPI2ME.
As a Technical Product Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day agile processes of the team, including requirements gathering, ticket creation, and running Agile scrum ceremonies. You will also gather and distill customer feedback and translate it into product requirements for the team.
Key Responsibilities- Work with other teams, such as UX, product management, and tech support, to deliver innovative analysis workflows and software solutions.
- Collaborate with senior product managers on the roadmap for the analysis software team.
- Manage the team's workload through Agile sprints, including requirements gathering, ticket creation, and running Agile ceremonies.
- Gather and distill customer feedback and translate it into product requirements for the team.
- Support sales and marketing with product information and updates.
- Ensure release timelines are hit and manage release activities, such as announcements and release notes.
- Create updates about the product and team progress and present them to internal audiences.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in biology, hard science, or computer science.
- At least 1-2 years of software product management experience in an Agile framework.
- Prior experience in the biotechnology industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with DNA sequencing analysis and analysis software is preferred.
- Comfortable using Atlassian products, including Jira and Confluence.
- Very organized and able to keep track of multiple projects at once.
- Can effectively communicate between software developers, customers, and other parts of the organization in varying levels of technical detail.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-changing environment with shifting priorities.
- Ability to manage and optimize team processes using data and team feedback.
- Possesses innate problem-solving skills and is able to recognize problems and take action to prevent them from recurring.
- A team player with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to legally work in the UK and regularly work in-person at the head office in Oxford.
