About the Role

Oxford Nanopore Technologies is a leading innovator in real-time nanopore-based DNA/RNA sequencing technology. We are seeking a skilled Technical Product Manager to join our team and lead the product lifecycle of our Q-Line product line.

The Q-Line product line offers end-to-end sequencing solutions that deliver the benefits of Oxford Nanopore Technologies in a locked-down, standardized format. This role will involve product management of the Q-Line products through the entire lifecycle, from product development to launch and beyond.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and articulate product requirements, defining clear success criteria for product testing and acceptance.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive product documentation.
  • Work closely with applied product development, engineering, and software teams to deliver applied solutions to market that meet customer needs.
  • Keep up-to-date with market trends, identifying opportunities and applying them to managed product lines.
  • Manage product through release phases, beta, early access, and fully released.
  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs and opportunities for automation products.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to support product launches and go-to-market strategies.
  • Serve as a product evangelist and subject matter expert to the technical/developer community.
Requirements
  • A technical background with a bachelor's degree in a STEM subject.
  • Experience as a Product Manager or similar in a technical environment.
  • Experience in molecular biology, particularly next-generation sequencing.
  • Experience with agile practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • An ability to build effective relationships and possess a flexible and collaborative approach.
  • Experience with GMP projects is desirable.
