Technical Waste Assessor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Waste Assessor to join our team at SRG. As a Technical Waste Assessor, you will be responsible for ensuring the correct classification of all incoming and outgoing waste, maintaining an auditable trail of records, and following site procedures for pre-acceptance, acceptance, sampling, and compatibility to assess waste enquiries.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Classify waste correctly and maintain accurate records
  2. Follow site procedures for waste assessment and management
  3. Log all necessary information for waste quoting, transport, and acceptance
  4. Understand site processing capabilities for proper waste routing
  5. Ensure compliance with waste regulations and licenses
  6. Liaise with internal teams for smooth operations
  7. Advise on waste transport, labelling, and consignment note requirements
  8. Assist with maintaining site management systems
Requirements:
  1. Degree or HNC in chemistry
  2. Knowledge of waste-related legislation is highly desirable
  3. Excellent organisational and communication skills
  4. Committed, flexible, and pragmatic team player
  5. Professional approach with a positive attitude
