Role Overview:
Academics Ltd is seeking a supportive and inspiring Special Education Support Worker to join their team in Witney. As an Autism Support Assistant, you will provide essential support to children on the Autistic Spectrum, helping them academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualised support to students with Autism, focusing on communication, social cues, fine motor skills, self-regulation, emotional expression, and sensory processing.
- Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement strategies to support students' academic and social needs.
- Help manage challenging behaviour and promote positive decision-making.
- Develop and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient and resilient attitude.
- A passion for helping children and a commitment to supporting students with Autism.
- A relevant qualification or experience in Special Educational Needs.
