Fire Engineering Job Description

**Job Title:** Head of Fire Engineering

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Fire Engineer to lead our Fire Engineering team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in fire engineering, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our team.

**Key Responsibilities:*

* Manage technical aspects of larger projects or components of major projects
* Support and mentor Fire Engineers within the team
* Delivery of fire consultancy services, designer services, and fire strategies
* Manage internal and external enquiries
* Develop new and existing client relationships and identify new business opportunities
* Lead the fire engineering team to deliver multiple projects
* Attend design team meetings throughout the project
* Support with business strategy and digital innovations
* Preparation of reports, engineering designs, calculations, and specifications
* Project manage from start to end, including financials, quality management planning, and customer care

**Requirements:*

* Engineering Council Accredited BEng Hons, MEng, or MSc
* CEng / IEng or working towards
* MIFireE or working towards
* Ideally 7+ years' experience in fire engineering
* Extensive experience in delivering fire-engineered solutions for UK-based projects
* Familiar with active, passive, and active fire protection systems
* Strong understanding of UK legislation and design guidance
* Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, working to tight deadlines
* UK Driving Licence and own vehicle
