We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team of professionals working with schools in South Bristol. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting students of all abilities, including those with SEN, in a variety of educational settings.

Your main duties will include:

  • Managing the classroom environment to ensure a safe and productive learning space
  • Running activities and leading 1:1 and small group interventions to support student progress
  • Supporting students with diverse learning needs, including those with SEN, to ensure they reach their full potential
  • Reporting on student progress and liaising with SLT to inform teaching practices

About you:

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN
  • Knowledge of special education practices and strategies
  • Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with students with diverse learning needs
  • Strong organizational skills to assist with lesson planning and classroom management
