Bariatric Team Lead Dietitian

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Dietitian to join our multidisciplinary bariatric surgery team at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Bariatric Dietitian, you will play a key role in providing high-quality dietetic services to patients undergoing bariatric surgery.
Main Responsibilities- Co-ordinate the dietetic team to provide an efficient and high-quality service to obese patients considering and undergoing bariatric surgery.
- Represent the bariatric dietitians at operational level and lead on dietetic service development aligned with strategic priorities.
- Manage a highly specialised clinical caseload, including inpatients and complex outpatients requiring assessment, diagnosis, management, and treatment within this specialty.
- Co-ordinate the team to provide a regular service for bariatric surgery patients pre and post-operatively, including regular outpatient clinics, groups, and inpatient cover.
- Co-ordinate individual patient care by providing the link between a range of healthcare and social care professionals as required to ensure a smooth pathway through the service.
- Support the development of operational policies and guidelines in the area of obesity and bariatric surgery.
