About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Prison Officer. As a key member of our correctional services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of prisoners, staff, and visitors in our prisons.

As a Prison Officer, you will be responsible for supervising prisoners in all aspects of prison wing activity, overseeing work and education programmes, and managing operational matters such as prisoner headcounts and security. You will also be involved in preparing prisoners for release and supporting them in their rehabilitation journey.

We offer a comprehensive training programme, which includes a 10-week Initial Training Course (ITC) that provides high-quality training in areas such as custodial care, first aid, and control and restraint. You will also have the opportunity to progress into operational management positions or specialist services such as psychology, education, health, or the animal unit.
