Rate: £50 per hour (Umbrella) or £38.46 per hour (PAYE)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Ecological Planning Specialist to join our team at Essential Employment. As a Planning Ecologist, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in ecology reports associated with planning applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise Planning Management officers on planning applications by responding to planning consultation requests and supporting colleagues through advice on Biodiversity Net Gain.
  • Support the Biodiversity and Nature Recovery Lead Officer and Planning Policy team by providing input and advice into the delivery of the Local Nature Recovery Strategy through Biodiversity Net Gain.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a member of The Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) or seeking to qualify for membership. Additionally, you will require 2 years' experience in a similar role.
