Job Title: Apprentice Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven Civil Engineer to join our team at Ansgeo. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting engineering projects across the US.

Responsibilities
  • Support engineering projects across the US
  • Collaborate with a team of high-performing engineering and technical professionals
  • Interface directly with coworkers, clients, and stakeholders to communicate findings and recommendations
  • Preparation of Contract Documents (Applications, Engineering Reports, Site Plans, and Technical Specifications) for permitting and construction
  • Stormwater management design, including hydraulic and hydrologic analysis/evaluation, HydroCAD modeling, preparation of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and Stormwater Management Reports
  • Preparation of Erosion and Sediment Control/BMP design, Utility, Grading, and Landscaping Plans, Construction Phasing/Sequencing Plans, and earthwork volume calculations
Requirements
  • BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering, or related engineering degree
  • 2 to 5 years of progressive design experience in civil/site/land development/renewable energy projects, with an emphasis on site and stormwater management design
  • Prior work experience in a consulting engineering firm
  • Registered Engineer-in-Training
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS and Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to travel as needed, for project-related assignments
  • Communication skills, ability to find solutions to problems, and get-it-done attitude
  • Valid US Driver's License, and a reliable means of transportation
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Prior experience with surveying, environmental, permitting/zoning research, critical issues analysis, due diligence/site constraint reviews, feasibility studies, geotechnical design, and/or structural design
  • MS in Civil/Environmental Engineering, or related degree
  • Prior project experience related to Renewable Energy (PV, BESS, HV Design, Green Hydrogen) development across the United States
  • Past experience in utilizing GIS software to process data and develop Figures/Exhibits
