Job Title: Principal Engineer - Product Safety Engineering

Location: Various locations across the UK, with flexible working arrangements available.

Salary: Circa £55,000 per annum.

About the Role:

As a Principal Engineer - Product Safety Engineering, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our products. You will be responsible for the governance of safety analysis and assessment activities, providing feedback and constructive criticism when necessary. You will also be required to educate wider areas of the business on safety policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct safety analysis and assessment activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide feedback and constructive criticism to ensure high-quality safety performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety is integrated into all aspects of product development.
  • Develop and maintain safety training programs to educate employees on safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Engineer or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in Industrial Controls Systems.
  • TUV Functional Safety Expert certification.
  • Experience in software and hardware development.
  • Knowledge of IEC 61508 or IEC 61511 standards.
