T Level Examiner Opportunity

Pearson is seeking experienced professionals to join our team of examiners for our T Level qualifications in Finance. As a T Level Examiner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of our assessments.

About the Role

The T Level Examiner role is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in finance and accounting to contribute to the development of our T Level qualifications. You will be responsible for marking candidate responses in accordance with our pre-defined mark scheme, while adhering to our Code of Practice and published examination procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Mark candidate responses accurately and consistently to ensure overall standards are maintained.
  • Submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times.
  • Ensure milestones for marking are adhered to.
  • Complete all administration tasks as specified.
  • Attend standardisation events.
  • Regularly mark scripts during the summer/autumn series.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A minimum of one year's teaching and assessment experience or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or Business at Level 3.
  • A degree or equivalent work-based qualification such as a Level 5/6/7 NVQ in Accounting and/or Finance/Business or membership of a relevant professional body.
  • Full conversance with the requirements of the T Level Accountancy specification and with the standards and regulations involved in the accounting and finance industries.
Desirable

While not essential, it is desirable for candidates to have:

  • A qualified teaching qualification such as Cert Ed, C&G 7404, PTTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, or an Assessor/Verifier award.
  • Recent occupational experience in one of the following job or occupational titles: Corporate or commercial finance, Financial accounting, Forensic accounting, Management accounting, Tax accounting, or Internal audit.
