Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced MRI radiographer to join our team at Nuffield Health Barts Hospital. As a specialist in MRI and rotational radiography, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. You will work with cutting-edge equipment and technology, and have opportunities to develop your skills and career.


Key Responsibilities



  • Deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients
  • Work with leading practitioners and cutting-edge practices, equipment and facilities
  • Supervise and develop junior colleagues
  • Responsible for MRI safety in line with local rules
  • Participate in departmental audits and Quality Assurance programme
  • Provide support to the Clinical Lead Radiographers
  • Ensure equipment is safe and fit for purpose
  • Competency in IV cannulation is essential
  • Provide input to the review, update and implementation of departmental policy and procedural changes
  • Comply with all Nuffield Health policies and procedures
  • Ensure all records are maintained in line with statutory and organisational requirements
  • Participation in General x-ray
  • Participate in on call rota (must be able to attend site within one hour of call activation)

Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent)
  • Postgraduate qualification and/or high levels of technical knowledge (desirable)
  • More than 3 years' experience in MRI
  • Experience in a wide variety of MRI scans, including cardiac
  • An understanding and empathetic approach to patients and staff alike
  • Be respectful towards all individuals, including staff, patients and visitors
  • A proactive and forward thinking approach to work
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and team working abilities
