Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly specialist speech and language therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at The Children's Trust. This role will require the successful candidate to provide specialist speech and language therapy and clinical leadership to children, young people, and families accessing our services.
Main Duties of the Job
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based speech and language therapy interventions for children and young people with neurodisabilities and neurodevelopmental concerns. This will involve assessing and developing individualized speech and language therapy plans, working closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team, and providing clinical leadership and guidance to junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based speech and language therapy interventions for children and young people with neurodisabilities and neurodevelopmental concerns.
- Assess and develop individualized speech and language therapy plans for children and young people.
- Work closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to children and young people.
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to junior staff.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of speech and language therapy services and policies.
Requirements
- RCSLT recognised degree or postgraduate diploma in Speech and Language Therapy.
- HCPC registration.
- Member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapy.
- Dysphagia competency to Level C (RCSLT Competencies).
- Recent relevant training with respect to Augmentative and Alternative Communication.
- Willing to participate in any relevant training identified to develop skills required to carry out duties including extended role activities.
- Maintains a portfolio of CPD in line with regulatory body standards.
