Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, Band 7, Specialist Children's Service

An exciting opportunity
has arisen for a highly specialist speech and language therapist to take on a challenging role within our Children's Trust team. This position will involve providing high-quality, evidence-based speech and language therapy assessment and intervention to children and young people with neurodisabilities and neurodevelopmental concerns, within a multidisciplinary and multi-agency setting.Our service delivery aims to promote outcome-focused interventions, safe care, function, and participation of children and young people accessing home, school, and community life. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting children and young people with communication needs, speech, and language difficulties, eating and drinking, and tracheostomy care at a highly specialist level, working within a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency setting.
With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, the ideal candidate will be exceptionally organised with a high-level attention to detail. They will possess excellent interpersonal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist speech and language therapy assessment and intervention to children and young people with neurodisabilities and neurodevelopmental concerns.
- Support children and young people with communication needs, speech, and language difficulties, eating and drinking, and tracheostomy care at a highly specialist level.
- Work within a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency setting to promote outcome-focused interventions, safe care, function, and participation of children and young people.
Person Specification
- Experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce.
- Exceptional organisational skills, with a high-level attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.
