Senior Transport Planner

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Transport Planner to join our team at Pertemps TM. As a Senior Transport Planner, you will be responsible for engaging in all aspects of transport planning, traffic, and transportation engineering. This includes the preparation of Transport Assessments for new developments and providing advice on the transport aspects of development master planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage smaller individual projects and provide professional and technical support to directors engaged in larger projects.
- Analyze data from various transportation software packages and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Attend meetings, presentations, public consultation events, and undertake site visits as part of your input to the team and projects.
Client Base:
We primarily serve private sector clients, working on a variety of projects including medium to large warehouses, residential developments, commercial developments, food retailers, and leisure projects.
Requirements:
- Understanding of and experience working in the Planning Regulatory framework and knowledge of planning and transport policy as applied to development.
- Sound technical experience, including familiarity with relevant software such as TRANSYT, LINSIG, ARCADY, and PICADY.
- Working knowledge of the relevant highway standards, including the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and the Manual for Streets.
- Ability to work to deadlines and work autonomously when required.
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral, to communicate with all levels of staff and clients.
