Job Title: Graduate Teaching Assistant

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant to support our SEN and EAL students in a mainstream secondary school in Hounslow, London. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to deliver lessons and provide additional support to students who require extra assistance.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Assist teachers in delivering lessons and providing additional support to students who require extra assistance
* Modify instructional materials to cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students, particularly focusing on EAL students
* Work with students on a one-on-one basis, tailoring instruction and activities to accommodate individual learning styles and address specific learning needs
* Facilitate language development for EAL students by implementing strategies to improve their English language skills
* Encourage and engage EAL students in language-rich activities to boost their confidence and integration into mainstream classes
* Implement behaviour management techniques and strategies to support students with behavioral challenges or emotional difficulties
* Offer emotional support to students, providing a safe space for them to express themselves and addressing any emotional concerns they may have
* Assist in conducting assessments and evaluations to measure student progress and identify areas for improvement
* Maintain open communication with teachers, parents, and other support staff to share updates on student progress, concerns, and achievements

**Requirements:**

* Relevant qualifications and training for the role
* Strong English language skills
* Clear understanding of the needs of SEN and EAL students
* Relevant experience in supporting students with SEN and EAL
