About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at Leigh Academy Rainham. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to students with SEN
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation to ensure students receive the best possible education
  • Support students with learning difficulties, including those with Dyslexia, ADHD, ASD, and physical disabilities
  • Help prepare specialist materials and deliver small group interventions
  • Support students in Homework Club and run intervention and therapy sessions as part of their EHCPs
  • Use technology to access student information, log rewards and consequences, and communicate with staff
Requirements
  • Relatively confident using IT and willing to learn new systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with students with SEN
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £18,480 - £20,169 per annum (pro rata for part-time staff)
  • A 35-hour working week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
  • Term-time plus one week inset
