We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Leigh Academy Rainham. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and providing them with the individualized attention they require.
Key Responsibilities- Work one-to-one with students who have a range of needs, including Dyslexia, ADHD, ASD, and physical disabilities.
- Support students in lessons, homework club, and intervention sessions as part of their Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP).
- Use technology, such as Chromebooks, to access student information, log rewards and consequences, and communicate with staff.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
- Experience working with students with SEN or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic IT skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Passion for supporting students with diverse needs and abilities.
- A competitive salary of £18,480 - £20,169 per annum (pro rata for part-time), depending on experience.
- A 35-hour working week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
- Term-time plus one week of inset, providing a good work-life balance.
