Job Description

Kenton Black Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Semi Senior to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a minimum of 3 years of practice experience in a similar role. They will be responsible for preparing basic sets of accounts, communicating with clients, and ensuring timely completion of Year End Accounts, VAT Returns, and Personal Tax Returns.

The successful candidate will also have a good understanding of debits and credits, journals, and accruals/prepayments. They will be able to work as part of a team to meet deadlines and provide excellent customer service.

The role can be based in either the Bradford or Halifax office, and the company offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing basic sets of accounts
  • Communicating with clients
  • Ensuring timely completion of Year End Accounts, VAT Returns, and Personal Tax Returns
  • Visiting clients' premises to undergo bookkeeping activities
  • Informing clients of tax liabilities
  • Completing and submitting monthly CIS Returns
  • Working as part of a team to meet deadlines

Person Specification:

  • AAT part qualified or qualified
  • Minimum of 3 years practice experience in a similar role
  • Car driver with a full clean UK license
  • Ability to commute daily to either Halifax or Bradford
  • Good understanding of debits and credits, journals, and accruals/prepayments
