We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our team at Retail Human Resources plc. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing the financial accounting, audit, and accounting for various areas of the balance sheet.
Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with the Senior Finance Manager and Financial Controller to prepare year-end financial accounts and group reporting packs, and manage the year-end audit process.
- Lead the accounting for occupancy costs, including liaising with the property team to understand and challenge occupancy costs across our stores and Head Office locations.
- Lead year-end accounting for leases under IFRS 16, converting rent costs in the management accounts to IFRS 16 compliant entries in the financial accounts.
- Manage and develop the Finance Analyst, and work on system and process improvement projects, particularly those relating to improving our accounting for fixed assets.
- Be an active member of the finance team, working on ad-hoc projects and pitching in to help across the team as required.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a qualified accountant with strong analytical and Excel skills, experience in team management, and the ability to work under pressure.
Requirements:- A qualified accountant, preferably ACA or ACCA, qualified by experience, or part qualified and in the later stages of qualifying.
- Experience in producing and/or auditing IFRS compliant financial accounts.
- Strong analytical and Excel skills with experience in working with large quantities of data from multiple sources.
- Experience in team management and dealing with multiple stakeholders across a large complex business.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage a diverse and competing workload ensuring deadlines are met.
