Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Palliative Care Assistant to join our team at Compton Care. As a Senior Palliative Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing accessible, innovative, and influential care to our patients and their families.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality patient care, working in partnership with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families, promoting dignity and respect throughout the care journey.
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues and external healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care planning and delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care policies and procedures, ensuring best practices and quality standards are met.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with the latest palliative care research and developments.

Requirements

  • Experience in providing care in a health or social setting, with a strong understanding of palliative care principles and practices.
  • NVQ level 3 in care or equivalent, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, with a patient-centered approach.
  • Proficiency in using IT systems, including Word and Excel, with a willingness to learn new technologies.
