ROLE SUMMARY

The Material Handler plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of our warehouse operations. This position is responsible for ensuring that inventory is accurately tracked, and orders are fulfilled in a timely manner.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the workflow of the shipping department to prevent delays and interruptions.
  • Utilize heavy equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to move products efficiently.
  • Pack, label, and stage shipments for distribution.
  • Perform basic accounting tasks, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Collaborate with the production department to ensure seamless product flow.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with forklift operation is preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 100 lbs) with or without mechanical assistance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and move freely throughout the warehouse.
