About the Role

Ayesa is a leading engineering firm that delivers high-quality, sustainable, and efficient engineering solutions across a range of projects. We are seeking a talented Senior Structural Design Engineer to join our team in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and contribute to our continued success in delivering exceptional engineering services.

As a Senior Structural Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and analysis of various structures across a diverse range of projects. You will be responsible for leading design teams, liaising with clients, and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards within agreed timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver detailed design engineering solutions, drawings, and specifications for slope stability, earthworks, and retaining structures, particularly in the rail environment.
  • Design and implement piling, piled walls, foundation, and retaining wall design, temporary works, soil nails, ground anchors, and site investigations.
  • Manage technical documentation, contract documents, and fee estimates.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and gain a good understanding of their sector to foster effective and enduring relationships.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership with a relevant institution (e.g., ICE, IStructE).
  • Extensive experience in structural engineering design, preferably within consultancy environment.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant design codes and standards (e.g., Eurocodes, British Standards).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing design teams and delivering projects from conception to completion.
