Philanthropy Executive Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Philanthropy Executive to join our Income Generation Directorate, based in either London or Northampton. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in securing vital income for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain great working relationships with major donors and prospects, ensuring they are engaged with our cause and their individual stewardship needs are met.
  • Support the Philanthropy Manager in making strategic decisions to grow our major donor programme, providing insight from excellent relationships and identifying opportunities to secure significant contributions.
  • Develop and use stewardship tools to guide donors through their giving journey, including cultivation plans, proposals, and reports.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and volunteers across the organisation to support our fundraising efforts.

Requirements

  • Experience of securing major donations or other high-value gifts, managing partnerships, or working in a similar role in the commercial sector.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to write and present clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong IT skills, with knowledge of Raisers Edge a plus.
