Job Overview:

Prospero Teaching is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tutor to provide educational support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a 1:1 setting. The successful candidate will work with students who have been out of mainstream education for some time and require support with their core subjects, Maths and English.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Maths and English support to students with SEN on a 1:1 basis
  • Assess students' current ability and develop a personalized learning plan to reintroduce education into their routine
  • Work with students in a local Library or their home, depending on their needs and preferences
  • Collaborate with SEND teams and Local Councils to ensure a smooth transition for students

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with students with SEN or disengaged pupils
  • UK classroom teaching experience
  • Strong understanding of SEN and ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs
