Job Title: SEN Outreach Tutor

Prospero Teaching is partnering with Local Councils and SEND teams throughout the UK to provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support, and individuals with SEND.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Tutor with Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent to provide KS1-KS4 Maths and English support on a 1:1 basis to students who are not currently accessing mainstream education.

The students have a diagnosis of ADHD and Autism and require support with their core subjects, Maths and English, as they have been out of education for some time and will be working at a lower level.

The tutor will need to assess the students' current ability and reintroduce education into their routine while a suitable school provision is found. Lessons will take place either in a local Library or the young person's home.

Requirements:
  • QTS or equivalent
  • Experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
  • UK classroom teaching experience
  • Be creative, patient, and willing to think outside of the box
Eligibility Criteria:
  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references
