Job Title: Head Business Risk Partner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Business Risk Partner to join our team at M&G plc. As a key member of our Chief Controls Office, you will play a critical role in enhancing our risk and controls agenda across Asset Management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead on enhancing the risk and controls agenda across Asset Management, working closely with Business teams and other risk partners and COO's across business areas and jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate the first line risk aggregation across MGG organisation along with CCO, including close collaboration with newly created COO organisation in FO and associated risk partners in Eq, FI, Private markets, and Distribution.
  • Aggregation & insight-based review of key risk metrics across MGG to drive risk insights and areas for focus such as risk appetite, concentration of control failures, risk events, etc.
  • Provide first line risk opinion across key change programmes impacting COO organisation, new product launches that impact the op model and changes to existing key processes.
  • Manage the SMCR documentation and refresh in line with policy and trigger events for the COO AM.
  • Oversee the delivery of the Annual Audit and Assurance Faculty report and be the key point of contact for senior engagement with PwC, client queries, client director teams queries, and SST.
  • Responsible for representing first line risk in third party governance meetings to ensure M&G oversight for material relationships is in line with the risk appetite.
  • Oversee the delivery of the risk CoE in global services to drive enhancements in risk reporting and act as key point of escalation to SLT and FO for high-risk items.
  • Working closely with second line risk and compliance teams, ensure any changes to group framework are managed and embedded in first line risk across MGG teams.
  • Along with the CCO, support/lead on key governance forums and committees across first line risk reporting and requests from the risk committee's and boards.
Requirements:
  • Risk and controls experience across financial service institutions.
  • Understanding of the asset management business.
