Children's Community Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children's Community Therapist to join our team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Intensive Community Support Team, you will provide leadership, supervision, and support to Psychological Therapists, ensuring the systematic provision of high-quality psychological assessment and treatment to clients and their families.
Main Responsibilities- Provide specialist psychological assessments to clients referred to the Intensive Community Support Team, utilizing complex psychological data from various sources.
- Formulate and implement plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of clients' cognitive and mental health problems, based on an appropriate conceptual framework.
- Implement a range of psychological interventions for individuals, carers, families, and groups, adjusting and refining psychological formulations as needed.
- Evaluate and make decisions about treatment options, considering theoretical and therapeutic models, as well as complex factors related to historical and developmental processes.

Person Specification- HCPC registration as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist with post-graduate or doctoral-level training.
- Evidence of training in models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, neuropsychology, and two or more distinct psychological therapies.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Practitioner Psychologist.
- Substantial assessed experience working as a qualified clinical psychologist.
- Specialist experience working in Adult Learning Disability Services.
- Experience working with a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course, and presenting with the full range of clinical severity across various care settings.
- Experience teaching, training, and/or professional and clinical supervision.
- Well-developed skills in communicating technical and clinically sensitive information to clients, families, carers, and professional colleagues.
- Knowledge of research design and methodology, including complex multivariate data analysis.
- Evidence of continuing professional development as recommended by the BPS/HCPC or equivalent registration body.
