Audiologist for Children's Audiology Assessments

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Audiologist to join our team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality audiological services to children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive audiological assessments for children referred to our service by health visitors, community and acute paediatricians, speech and language therapists, GPs, and other colleagues.
- Work closely with audiologists, associate specialists in child health, peripatetic teachers of the hearing impaired, and speech and language therapists to provide a seamless service for hearing-impaired children.
- Assess children in outreach clinics and mainstream schools as required, and refer them to tertiary services as necessary.
- Provide ongoing follow-up for children who have been issued with hearing aids, including impression taking and liaison with specialist teachers, speech and language therapists, etc.
- Conduct a full range of testing suitable for children, including primary and secondary assessments, pure tone audiometry, speech tests, Oto-acoustic emission tests, otoscopy, and tympanometry.
- Keep up to date with current theory and practice, and maintain a high level of general clinical expertise.
- Participate in the planning and monitoring of the audiological service, and comply with Health and Safety procedures.
- Ensure management of clinical risk within your caseload, and participate in Performance Development Review and regular supervision sessions as agreed.
- Attend in-service training conferences and other courses as appropriate, and keep up to date with statutory and mandatory training.
