Job Summary:

This role involves teaching Chemistry to A level and Science to GCSE, providing a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to share their subject knowledge and passion with students. The ideal candidate will possess an up-to-date understanding of the British Curriculum and have experience in delivering engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Planning, delivering, and marking lessons to ensure student progression and achievement.
  • Providing constructive and guided feedback to students both written and verbally, promoting academic excellence and personal growth.
  • Serving as a positive role model, attending departmental meetings, and communicating effectively with parents to maintain open and transparent relationships.

The successful candidate will also be encouraged to share best practices within and beyond the department, contributing to the school's mission to provide high-quality education and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Requirements:
  • Holding a PGCE with a relevant bachelor's degree, a Bachelor of Education, or the international equivalent.
  • Possessing an up-to-date DBS certificate and maintaining exceptional classroom practice.
  • Having excellent subject knowledge, a deep understanding of the British Curriculum, and the ability to work collaboratively and creatively with colleagues.
  • Being committed to ongoing professional development and staying updated on the latest educational trends and best practices.

The estimated salary for this position is £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on relevant teaching experience. We offer a competitive payment scale based on the teacher pay scale from M1 to M6.
