Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Contracts Manager to join our team at FBR Construction Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing planned maintenance contracts, ensuring quality, time, and cost constraints are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage site managers to ensure they have the necessary experience and ability to manage allocated projects.
  2. Oversee the daily running of contracts, ensuring work is completed to quality, time, and cost constraints.
  3. Communicate health and safety policies, procedures, and safe working practices to site staff and contractors.
  4. Implement safe systems of work and mobilise allocated projects.
  5. Understand and manage the programme of works, meeting customer expectations in terms of service, reliability, quality, and responsiveness.
  6. Manage workforce productivity, setting targets and issuing them before work starts.
  7. Manage workforce quality and adherence to specifications, conforming with Operations Managers audit process.
  8. Communicate with site teams and workforce, explaining expectations and variances.
  9. Minimise waste on site, managing site administration and records.
  10. Understand trades and local labour resources to meet contract programme timescales.
  11. Support recruitment and induct site-based staff, including apprentices.
  12. Ensure operatives behave in a courteous and polite manner, adhering to the company Code of Conduct.
  13. Ensure operatives comply with company expectations regarding PPE and Workwear.
  14. Engage in investigations and accident reporting process, adhering to company vehicle and plant reporting procedures.
  15. Regularly check and audit purchases and time sheets to deter fraudulent behaviours.
  16. Attend client meetings and Branch Meetings, contributing to discussions.
  17. Proactively ensure employees remain motivated and engaged with the business.

Requirements:

  1. C&G Advanced/Craft certificate or NVQ L2/3.
  2. SMSTS award.
  3. BCTG Supervisor Development Programme certificate.
