New College Worcester is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our Residential Care & Safeguarding Committee (RCSC). As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our students, who are blind or vision impaired.
We are looking for someone with a strong background in safeguarding and residential care, as well as experience working with young people from a health and social care perspective. Your expertise will help us maintain high-quality education in a setting where our learners are safe and suitably cared for.
As a member of the RCSC, you will work closely with our Senior Leaders and Governors to ensure that our policies and practices are up-to-date and effective. You will also contribute to the development of our curriculum and education programs, ensuring that they meet the needs of our students.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and our client expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references before any final offer can be made.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of our Residential Care & Safeguarding Committee (RCSC)
- Work closely with Senior Leaders and Governors to ensure effective safeguarding and residential care practices
- Contribute to the development of our curriculum and education programs
- Ensure that our policies and practices are up-to-date and effective
Requirements:
- Experience in safeguarding and residential care
- Experience working with young people from a health and social care perspective
- Strong knowledge of relevant policies and practices
- Ability to work collaboratively with Senior Leaders and Governors
