About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Trustee Governor to join our Residential Care & Safeguarding Committee (RCSC). As a key member of our governing body, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our college and ensuring the well-being of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Support the college's mission to provide high-quality education and care to students with visual impairments
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote safeguarding and wellbeing
- Work closely with the Residential Care & Safeguarding Committee to ensure the college's residential provision meets the highest standards
- Provide guidance and support to the college's leadership team on matters related to safeguarding and wellbeing
We are looking for an individual with a strong background in safeguarding and residential care, preferably with experience working with young people with visual impairments. You will need to demonstrate a deep understanding of relevant policies and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
As a Trustee Governor, you will be expected to commit to a minimum of 6-8 meetings per year and participate in relevant training and development opportunities. You will also be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide satisfactory references.
