Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experienced nurse to join our dynamic team of adult neurosurgical specialist nurses on a full-time basis. This role involves working closely with Consultant Neurosurgeons and Allied Health Care Professionals in both primary and secondary care settings.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual with a strong background in neurosurgery to support patients and their families/carers throughout their disease trajectory from diagnosis to discharge and beyond. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, developing, and implementing specialist nursing care programs and undertaking specialist nursing procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, and implement care for patients across inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Provide specialist advice and support to other staff, including education and training
  • Develop and implement integrated approaches to patient care, incorporating new treatments and evidence-based care
  • Conduct research and lead clinical audits in the specialist area
  • Participate in Trust-level teaching, research projects, and presenting at MDT meetings
