Special Education Needs Coordinator

**Job Title:** SEN Department Manager
The role of the SEN Department Manager is to lead and manage the day-to-day operational and strategic aspects of the SEN department. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the special educational needs sector and be able to provide effective leadership to ensure that all legal and statutory requirements are met for students with SEN.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Direction: Provide leadership for the development and oversight of SEN provision in line with academy policies and national legislation.
- Operational Management: Ensure effective communication systems are in place, including feedback about students' progress to inform future planning.
- Legal Compliance: Maintain and update the SEN register, ensuring that all staff are informed and prepared to make the necessary adaptations for students.
- Liaison with External Agencies: Liaise with external agencies for comprehensive intervention and support to meet students' needs.
- Professional Development: Assessments and Access Arrangements: Oversee the coordination of student assessments and manage access arrangements for exams.
Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
