Are you a dedicated and compassionate individual with a background in health-care?

We are currently seeking a qualified Medical Needs Assistant to join our dynamic team at a secondary school in Haringey. As a crucial member of our school community, you will play a vital role in supporting the medical needs of our students, ensuring their well-being and providing essential assistance.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide one-to-one support for students with medical needs, ensuring their safety and well-being within the school environment.
- Safeguard the health of students with medical conditions in the school environment, as well as administering first aid to both staff and students.
- The Medical Assistant will be accountable for ordering any goods required by the school and supporting the
administration teams when required.
- Administer medication and assist with any medical procedures as required, following relevant protocols and guidelines.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and health care professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans for students with medical conditions.
- Monitor and respond promptly to any changes in students' health conditions, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for students with medical needs, promoting independence and participation in school activities.
- Maintain accurate records of medical interventions, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Participate in relevant training to stay updated on medical procedures, emergency response, and best practices in supporting students with medical conditions.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- A relevant medical or nursing qualification is essential.
- Evidence of a medical background or qualification is required.
- Previous experience working in a school setting or with children and young people is advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
