About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Safeguarding Team at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. As a Safeguarding Nurse Advisor, you will play a critical role in providing specialist advice and support to our employees in relation to safeguarding children and adults at risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on safeguarding policies and procedures to employees across the Health Board.
  • Work in partnership with statutory and third sector organisations to communicate sensitive and complex information via multi-agency forums.
  • Monitor the quality and effectiveness of professional practice in relation to safeguarding children and adults at risk.
  • Support and empower practitioners in communicating sensitive information to families and individuals.
  • Review high concern families with health professionals through safeguarding supervision.
  • Develop and implement safeguarding training for employees, in collaboration with the Safeguarding Trainer.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic and operational policies, procedures, and protocols to support the delivery of safeguarding services.
Person Specification

We are looking for a Registered Nurse with:

  • Sufficient post-registration experience.
  • Expertise in working within a multi-agency framework.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of children and adults at risk.
