Binnies, an RSK Group Company, is seeking a highly skilled CDM Advisor to join our team within the @one Alliance.
As a CDM Advisor, you will be responsible for owning the Alliance CDM processes and procedures, ensuring compliance within the design teams. You will work closely with subject matter experts and the SHEA Systems Manager to periodically review and revise CDM processes and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively oversee CDM compliance, ensuring regulations and objectives are consistently met with other appointed duty holders, leading by example.
- Produce timely and accurate CDM compliance reports and suitability reviews of pre-construction.
- Review design assumptions and design risk assessments to ensure hazards have been eliminated or reduced to as low as is reasonably practicable.
- Ensure designs comply with Anglian Water 'Safe to Operate' requirements, considering the wellbeing of operational staff and overall project costs.
- Develop and deliver Health and Safety training packages to designers and suppliers, optimizing best practice and knowledge sharing across the Alliance.
- Partner closely with the Anglian Water CDM Discipline Head to meet CDM and client requirements, while pushing innovation and processes to ensure compliance in the most efficient manner.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- A qualification in Engineering or Health and Safety.
- Experience working in a multi-discipline design team.
- Ability to apply Health and Safety principles in design.
- Understanding of operational and maintenance requirements of water industry assets and construction processes and procedures.
- Effective communication skills and a problem-solving mentality.
