About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Assistant to join our team at Butler Rose. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the preparation and compilation of financial reports, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and compile financial reports for the monthly management meeting pack, including financial performance, flash sales, and liquidity reporting.
  • Liquidity Reporting - Actual/Forecast
  • Assist with the processing of Amazon rebate allocation and group reporting, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
  • Ensure accurate posting of ledger entries.
  • Oversee bank reconciliations, assist with cash flow reporting, and maintain the fixed asset register, including monthly reconciliations and depreciation journal entries.
  • Liaise with the purchase ledger team regarding payments and review unmatched deliveries report for month-end reconciliation.
  • Manage month-end processes, including the reconciliation of intercompany accounts, preparation of foreign currency journals, and production of stock valuation reports.
  • Conduct nominal analysis and product analysis reporting to support financial decision-making.
  • Prepare and submit PAYE, AEO, Corporation Tax, P11D payments, and monthly pension contributions.
  • Support the year-end stocktake process and assist with year-end audit activities, including the submission of National Statistic forms.
  • Provide effective cover for other team members and contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.
  • Maintain high standards and procedures in the Finance department, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal control requirements.
Requirements
  • Part qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Experience within manufacturing would be highly desirable
  • Extensive systems experience with High level of Microsoft Excel skills
  • Microsoft Dynamics experience highly desirable
  • Attention to detail and strong organisation skills
