Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary School English Teacher to join our team at a reputable school in Deal. As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, tracking student progress, and supporting their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic and creative English lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to improve their performance.
  • Support students to achieve their full potential in GCSE English, fostering a love of English literature and language.
  • Collaborate with other staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring equal access to education.
  • Attend parent-teacher meetings and contribute to the school's extracurricular activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE in Secondary English.
  • Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 levels, with a strong understanding of the curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities, with a focus on student success.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and student achievement, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
