About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at MDE Consultants Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing planned preventative and predictive maintenance services to ensure the optimal performance and availability of our factory operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in predictive maintenance activities, including vibration analysis, thermography, acoustic analysis, oil analysis, and generator checks, to identify potential issues and prevent downtime.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering planner and Reliability engineer to develop and maintain a comprehensive preventive maintenance schedule on our SAP software.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance testing of machine equipment and fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Provide corrective actions and participate in repairs and improvements to maintain the highest level of equipment performance.
  • Develop and train other maintenance personnel in the correct operation of sprinkler systems and start-up and shutdown procedures.
  • Carry out site routine maintenance, including thermography, vibration analysis, leak detection, oil analysis, and lubrication schedules, to ensure the overall health of our equipment.
  • Incorporate Continuous Improvement concepts to increase efficiency and productivity by providing direction and leadership in proactive maintenance processes.
Requirements
  • A sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical preventative engineering principles, with a comprehensive understanding of condition-based plant monitoring systems.
  • A formal technical qualification in Engineering, such as NVQ Level 3 or C&G Level 3 Electrical or mechanical equivalent.
  • A general knowledge of industrial plant and process equipment, with a good working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and the application of continuous process environment.
