Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Financial Controller to join our team at Pro Talent. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing and developing our finance team to provide key financial details to our Directors and Executive Board.

About the Role

  • Reporting directly into the Finance Director, you will lead and participate in all financial reporting and produce internal and external financial reports, including monthly management accounts.
  • You will oversee the purchase ledger and sales ledger functions, ensuring compliance and best practice.
  • As a senior member of the finance team, you will supervise and manage a team of 4-8 direct reports.
  • You will manage the financial budgeting process, including budget preparation and monthly reporting of variances and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Work with our directors to establish financial key performance indicators and report on progress and achievement.
  • You will take responsibility for treasury management, managing cash flow by tracking transactions, developing controls, and presenting accurate cash projections.
  • Collaborate with our sales and purchasing departments to improve cash flow and inventory control.
  • Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with regulations and legislation.
  • Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations and insist on accuracy.
  • Prepare for, lead, and manage the annual audit with external auditors.

Requirements

  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and planning skills to manage a varied workload.
  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a solid business growth-based understanding and how it relates to finance in practice.
  • Skilled in Financial Reporting.
  • Graduate calibre with excellent interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • An ability to work on a number of projects at any one time.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel Level A3, competent with IT software.
