Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team at NHBC. As a key member of our Finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring our compliance with UK GAAP and Solvency II reporting, maintaining accurate financial records and controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyse financial documents, with particular focus on insurance result management accounting.
  • Develop and maintain financial models within the Finance department.
  • Oversee tax compliance for various taxes including Corporation Tax, VAT, and IPT.
  • Manage, support, and develop direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Requirements
  • Several years of post-qualification experience in finance and tax.
  • Experience in tax return preparation (Corporation Tax, VAT).
  • Solvency II experience.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to problem solve.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions such as SUMIFS and VLOOKUP.
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP reporting.
