Job Summary:

The Lead Cardiac Physiologist Specialist will provide expert technical guidance and training in cardiac pacing, ICDs, and CRT devices. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) service, providing effective leadership to the Cardiac Physiology/Healthcare Science workforce, and participating in CRM implants, clinics, and device management.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To provide advanced technical expertise, knowledge, and training in CRM
  • To lead the CRM team and ensure efficient, professional, and patient-centered services
  • To participate in CRM implants, clinics, and device management, including face-to-face and remote device clinics

Salary and Benefits:

We offer an annual salary range of £50,000-£70,000 depending on experience, plus benefits including pension scheme, holiday entitlement, and access to training and development opportunities. Qualifications and Experience:

  • RCCP registration or equivalent
  • BHRS devices accreditation or up to date IBHRE
  • BSc in Clinical Physiology (Cardiology) or equivalent
  • Up to date Immediate Life Support
  • Advanced knowledge and skills of pacing, ICD, and CRT troubleshooting and complications
  • Significant competence in non-invasive cardiology procedures - PPCI, TAVI, CRM implantation
  • Extensive post-qualification experience within the field of CRM implants and follow-up
